TEA TYPE : BLACK TEA

Tea Forté’s Raspberry Coconut is an exquisite black tea blend featuring rose, raspberry, and coconut. Its relaxing gourmand flavors work well together either hot or iced, and adding just a hint of sugar or honey balances out the boldness of the tannins. The subtle, earthy tartness of rhubarb rounds out the flavor profile, complementing the warmth of the coconut.

Made through a series of steps including the harvesting, rolling, oxidation, and firing or drying of leaves from the flowering camellia sinensis shrub, black tea is the most popular variety of tea in the Western hemisphere. The same generous plant also gives us green, white, and oolong tea through slight variations in the production process. For this particular blend, coconut and rhubarb pieces, dried raspberries and rose petals are carefully combined with black tea leaves to deliver subtle complexity of flavor and a calm boost of energy. Excellent as a summer beverage or a cold-weather treat to remind us of warmer days, it calms the soul and brings about a relaxed sense of alertness thanks to its moderate caffeine content.

Berry Basket may be accompanied by milk or sugar to taste, and can also be made into an invigorating iced tea by doubling the recommended steep time and pouring over ice. Tea purists may also enjoy it simply steeped in water without any additions, allowing the fruit-forward flavors to stand on their own.
